Innovative Solutions for Plastic Free European Rivers Open Call
The INSPIRE Open Call invites local and regional authorities from Associated Regions to apply for grants to address the detection, collection, and prevention (DCP) of litter, including macro- and microplastics, in rivers. The initiative seeks to scale up and replicate successful use cases from the project. A total budget of €500,000 is allocated for at least five projects, with grants ranging from €60,000 to €100,000. Key Details: Eligible Applicants : Local and regional authorities from EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated countries, excluding those from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Funding : Grants from €60,000 to €100,000, disbursed in three installments. Application Process : Submit proposals via TypeForm. English is the required language, and each applicant can submit only one proposal. Timeline : Call opening: June 17, 2024 Call closing: November 29, 2024 Evaluation: December 2024 – January 2025 Project implementation: March 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026 Reporting: September 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 Applicants should participate in workshops and develop replication blueprints. The selection criteria include concept and innovation, team expertise, project planning, and impact sustainability, each weighing 25%.
