Challenge / Goal

The goal was to upgrade and expand the facility's capacity to efficiently handle and store bulk commodities, particularly grain and pellets, while aligning with sustainable practices. The challenge was to integrate modern technology and infrastructure to meet growing demands and reduce environmental impact.

Solution
  • Constructed three new warehouse sections to increase storage capacity.
  • Enhanced the automatic entry and scale systems for better efficiency.
  • Implemented a mobile hydrocrane, Mantsinen 120 DER, capable of handling 620 tons of bulk cargo per hour, powered by both electric and diesel engines.
  • Installed three solar parks on warehouse roofs with a combined capacity of 310 kW peak, supplying renewable energy for operations.
